On August 24, 2026, after receiving an urgent repair request from the client in Guinea, the overseas service team of Hunan Zhongqi rushed to the site overnight to troubleshoot a Cummins powered generator set. Upon arrival, the team quickly identified oil leakage from the fuel transfer pump. In addition, the damaged original main control board / governor board cut off the starting power supply for the speed control system, rendering the unit unable to start.
The team then replaced the faulty fuel transfer pump, governor and control assemblies. A temporary switch solution was adopted to restore power to the speed control system, successfully restarting the generator set. After repair, the unit operated with stable parameters: rotating speed at 1514 RPM, frequency at 58.4/58.5 Hz, charging voltage at 28.8 V, water temperature at 75 ℃, and oil pressure at 352 kPa. It ran for a total of 5 hours and 51 minutes, delivering an output of 231 kWh of electricity. The cross border on site maintenance service was successfully completed, which once again demonstrated Cunwei’s rapid response and professional technical service capabilities across the African market.
